Caren and Paul

Caren and Paul's marriage ceremony took place at Bolsover Castle on Thursday 5 August 2004.

The day was sunny and warm.

Around fifty family and friends were present to see them make their vows in a romantic ceremony.

Signing the register

Paul arrived at Bolsover accompanied by his Best Man Tony and Dale the chief usher.

Nigel and Karl acted as ushers accompanying guests to the Star Chamber.

Having driven herself and her father Alan to the Bolsover she was accompanied into the Star Chamber by Alan and two bridesmaids Katie and Ana.

The bride - Caren Caren's medieval style gown was off-white shot silk decorated with pearls which she made with her mum Beryl. She wore cream leather boots and carried a bouquet of red roses, white freesias, ivy and rosemary.

Paul wore a floor length, black frock coat over a frilled, white shirt and black trousers.  His button-hole was a red rose with ivy and rosemary.

The groom - Paul

The bridal party entered the Star Chamber to the music Kiss me by Sixpence none the richer.

As they signed the register guests heard Driftwood by Travis and Good riddance (Time of your life) by Greenday.
